Bridges of Amsterdam
‘Bridges of Amsterdam’
Amsterdam is notable for many things and experiences, but the canals and bridges are something that no traveler can miss.
The city began life as a fishing village in the 12th century, and got its name from the Amstel river and the dam that protected the village from flooding from the south sea.
With 165 canals and over 1280 bridges in the city, Amsterdam is the perfect place to wander around the streets, soaking up the history.
