Gran Canaria, 2020
Over on the south coast of the island of Gran Canaria, the Maspalomas sand dunes are a staple spot for visitors.
The dunes can reach up to 10 metres in height and are constantly shifting. The full area of the dunes is 1,000 acres in size.
In 1897 Maspalomas dunes were named a Natural Reserve so it could protect important wildlife and surrounding plants.
