Into Selfridges
Birmingham, 2019
Standing out of Birmingham’s skyline is the Selfridges building. Hated by few, loved by many, it's design divided opinion. Built in 2003 for £60 million, Selfridges Birmingham unique look is created by 15,000 anodised aluminium discs covering a blue background, giving it a slightly sci fi feel.
Following its completion, it picked up 7 awards and is a iconic image in the regeneration of Birmingham.
Regardless of however you feel about it, it does make the cities horizon a unique view.
