Paul Stringer is a Birmingham-based photographer and filmmaker whose work is rooted in documentary storytelling. He seeks out authenticity, intimacy, and human connection, approaching each project with care and a commitment to telling real stories. He works across the UK and internationally, bringing the same thoughtful approach to every assignment.

Alongside his documentary work, Paul has a deep passion for performance poetry and the communities that surround it. Through his platform Crate Poetry (@cratepoetry on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube), he documents spoken word artists and captures the energy of live performances, creating a digital archive that celebrates contemporary poetry.

His work explores themes across arts, culture, and social issues, focusing on how creativity can foster dialogue, representation, and community. By documenting cultural movements and social narratives, Paul highlights stories that reflect identity, belonging, and the role of the arts in society.

Paul is also an experienced educator and facilitator, working with schools, universities, community groups, and arts organisations. He runs workshops in photography, filmmaking, and poetry documentation, helping participants develop new skills, tell their own stories, and gain confidence through creative practice.

He is now looking to grow his portfolio of editorial photography and filmmaking, collaborating with publications and organisations to produce work that combines strong storytelling with cultural and social insight.
